SemiX participated in Semicon India 2023 with great hope and enthusiasm. SemiX, IIT Bombay is the only Centre from the Indian academia that has a member on Semicon India 2023 events’ Steering Committee.
The goal of the event was largely to announce some key “wins” of the ISM – Micron, AMAT, AMD, Lam etc. So the event was planned with a lead-time of two months. It was timed after the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s US visit which attracted press.
SemiX organized two Parallel Sessions
Semicon India 2023 was aimed to focus on the big industry wins – Micron, AMAT, AMD, and LAM. Another important element was to focus on the ongoing research and training wins in the country. Prof. Udayan Ganguly, Professor in Charge, SemiX has proposed to highlight these as ecosystems wins to the MoS Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar during the Steering Committee Meeting. The MoS agreed to this proposal.
Prof. Udayan then organized this event as parallel sessions. Representatives of the industry academia and government stakeholders were invited for two panel discussions.
The first session was on training which included the following representatives who are leading the training effort on the ground – especially on the technology front.
